In this week's Gossip Girl: Daredevil podcast, Sarah, Mia and I discuss the long-awaited Dan/Serena date and resulting kiss, pinpoint the start of Jenny's social ascent, and wish the show's sole minority characters were actually given something to do besides make out with each other.

Happy 30th Birthday, Jensen Ackles!

A CW Source favorite is reaching a milestone. Jensen Ackles, who plays the inimitable Dean Winchester on Supernatural, is turning the big 3-0 on Saturday, March 1. Happy birthday, Jensen!

Jensen Ackles

We know that birthdays that end in 0 can seem a little intimidating -- and we're sure prank-loving whippersnapper Jared Padalecki will have fun rubbing in Jensen's supposedly aged status. But take heart, Jensen: The old-timers here at CW Source Central say that 30 was their favorite birthday so far, and we'll love you no matter how old you get.

In fact, we're going to count the ways we love Jensen, and we want you, the CW Source faithful, to help! We're putting together a list of the top 30 reasons Jensen rocks. We'll start it off with our reasons, and we want you to add your own. Then we'll pick the top reasons and put together a video for the site.

So check out the beginnings of our list, and then add your own reason in the comments! Plus, feel free to wish our boy a happy 30th birthday!

30 reasons Jensen rocks

1. The Acting
Sure, Jensen has plenty of surface charms to recommend him (and trust us, we'll get to those...) but what really makes him exceptional is his blazing talent. We'd watch him in anything (and yes, we've seen Devour). He can convey more with a change of expression, a dimming of the eyes, a shift in the tone of his voice, than other actors his age can get across with pages and pages of script. We have no idea why Jensen isn't a major movie star -- he's got more talent than half the guys his age on the big screen today.

2. The Funny
Again, we love that Jensen is so much more than just a pretty face -- and he's more than willing to make that face look ridiculous to make a scene laugh-out-loud funny. Just think of him stuffing his cheeks with caramels in Tall Tales, or letting a piece of meat dangle from his mouth in Hollywood Babylon. And then there's all his dryly funny line readings, fabulous double takes, and countless Deanisms that make watching Supernatural such a side-splitting experience -- even when sides are literally being split with axes and knives.

3. The Realness
We love watching Jensen at conventions or giving interviews. Why? Because he's such a nice, regular guy who seems shocked by all the attention. He's unfailingly polite, more than willing to make fun of himself, and seems like he'd be a fun guy to hang out with. If only all of our favorite stars were this down-to-earth!

4. The Chemistry
Jensen Ackles plays well with others. Sure, he does a mean soliloquy, but he really shines when he's interacting with other actors. What makes Supernatural so fabulous is the relationships -- the show wouldn't be the same without the palpable bond between Sam and Dean. The brotherly chemistry he shares with Jared Padalecki is the stuff of legend, but you see it with just about everyone he shares the screen with, from Jefferey Dean Morgan to Fredric Lehne to Samantha Ferris to random extras. Heck, we here at CW Source Central joke that the man oozes enough chemistry that even the furniture acts better when he's in the room.

5. The Hominah-Hominah-Hominah
Dear god, but this man is gorgeous. It's obvious any time you look at him. He can rock a blue mohawk, make layers look good, and single-handedly revive the career of Asia just by rockin' out to one of their songs. And every once in a while, we'll see a shot of him that emphasizes his stunning looks so much that we nearly pass out from the pretty. Yowza.

There's the start of our list -- what would you add? Give us your contribution to our top 30 list, and leave your birthday wishes for Jensen in the comments!

Hottie Bracket: The Men's Final Four

The Final Four of the CW Source Men's hottie bracket has turned into an epic Battle of the Brothers, with the Winchesters facing against the Scotts. Who will survive?

The battle heats up!

The last round exhibited the hold these two pairs of brothers have on you all. The men of Gossip Girl hardly stood a chance -- Nathan basically gave bad-boy Chuck the bracket equivalent of the atomic wedgie, and Nate only got in a few shots before succumbing to Lucas. Nice guy Dan had the best (or maybe least humiliating) showing -- he managed to register some respectable votes versus Sam Winchester. Good try, Dan.

And let's have a moment of silence for The Game's Malik Wright, who was reduced to a smoking pile of ash by the sheer magnitude of Dean Winchester's unstoppable hotness. He couldn't get even 5% of the vote. Ah, poor Malik -- you never stood a chance.

So what will happen now that the crazed fans of the Brothers Scott go up against the rabid devotees of the Brothers Winchester? Will we see one family make it through to the finals, or will it be a split decision? Your votes decide, so get voting now -- you have until midnight on Monday!

Sam Winchester (Supernatural) vs. Lucas Scott (One Tree Hill)
Sam vs. Lucas

Sam Winchester: Look, we could give you all sorts of reasons why Sam is the best: He’s mega-smart, he knows his way around a knife, he can take out armed SWAT guys with no trouble, and he tends to save the world. But we think the shot of Sam just out of the shower, clad only in a towel, speaks for itself. Yowza!
Lucas Scott: He's mastered the squint of quiet desperation, his hair is always perfectly tousled, and he's dated some of Tree Hill's hottest women. Plus, he can shoot hoops and bonds with his godson Jamie in his spare time. But with such tough competition, is that enough to propel him to victory?

Nathan Scott (One Tree Hill) vs. Dean Winchester (Supernatural)
Nathan vs. Dean

Nathan Scott: His recent swoon-inducing haircut is only one of the reasons we love Nathan. He's a loyal husband to Haley, a good pal to Lucas, and he's learning how to be a great dad for his son Jamie. Oh, and he looks great shirtless. Yeah, we're shallow like that...
Dean Winchester: This handsome Hunter has a bevy of girlfriends across the country, and oh, what we wouldn’t give to get on that list. His looks alone are enough to leave you breathless, but when you add in his charm, his sense of humor, and his habit of helping the helpless and saving the world, you’ve got one hell of a man. Even demons can’t resist him!

One Tree Hill Podcast: For Tonight You're Only Here To Know

Lindsey and LucasIn this week's One Tree Hill podcast, Sarah, Mia and I wonder if Peyton's library anger is justified, discuss the unbelievable cuteness of Q and Jamie's scene, and debate whether Lindsey needs a makeover.

Top Model: NYC! Paulina! Double Elimination... And a Homeless Shoot?

Was anyone else raging mad after watching this episode, or was it just us?

The girls' homeless shoot

To put a spotlight on homeless youth, the girls posed for a photo shoot with real homeless youth. Um, offensive much? This shoot was all kinds of wrong. Can you imagine what the real homeless people were thinking? Somehow we doubt that living on the streets involves personal stylists and perfectly tilted ragamuffin-style ski caps. What did you think -- are we taking it too seriously, or was the shoot offensive?

But that wasn't all that happened. The girls did a high-fashion runway in Times Square for Badgley Mischka. What an upgrade! A few cycles back they were modeling for Goodwill in the second episode!). Paulina Porizkova made her debut, dishing out some rather harsh criticism to the girls. Yeah, we get that everything doesn't need to be sugarcoated, but is it really going to help Dominique to hear that she has a tranny vibe going on? Some of Paulina's comments seemed more hurtful than helpful. She's certainly a change from Twiggy! Did you like Paulina?

Meanwhile, the show might've been called the Marvita/Fatima Hour, because those two took up most of the airtime.

We have to say -- we have beefs with both of them. Fatima is condescending and full of herself, but Marvita's extremely sensitive and tends to overreact. Needless to say, they don't exactly bring out the best in each other. They seem to have reached a truce for now, but will it last?

Oh, and we can't forget the double elimination. Did you think Atalya deserved to go home, or would you have liked to see her get another chance? And what about Kim choosing to leave? Um, Kim, if you're not into fashion, you may have signed up for the wrong reality show.

So what did you think? Are you loving the NYC environment? Is Paulina shaking things up the way you'd like? Was the homeless shoot awesome or horrific? And which girls are driving you absolutely crazy? Tell us all in the comments!

Top Model Preview: Manhattan Runway Show!

We'll soon be feeling NYC's incomparable energy on Top Model -- the girls will be modeling Badgley Mischka on a downtown Manhattan runway on tonight's new episode! Check out this preview clip for a taste:

One Tree Hill: Locked in the Library!

All of the female key characters were locked in the Tree Hill High Library for the entire episode, and we expected some heinous drama. There was definitely some drama, but we also found out about some shocking surprises along the way.

We learned that Lindsey is intimidated by Peyton. Well… she should be. The editor spent a year editing a book that was a love letter from Lucas to Peyton. But as it turns out, the two loves of Lucas’s life have more in common than we would have originally thought.

Peyton and Lindsey share something tragic. We found out that Lindsey’s father died within the last couple of years. He left her just like Peyton’s mom (or moms) did. But this may have been worse. Lindsey actually had to pull the plug to let him go because her mom couldn’t do it.

The two loves of Lucas ended up with an uncomfortable truce after a colossal argument in which Peyton got so darn ugly, we barely recognized her. Lindsey rose above the nastiness and called Peyton out by saying that she didn’t understand what her beau saw in Peyton because the person she knew from his book would have never been so horrible. What do you think -- does the real Peyton live up to the version of Peyton in the book or is the real Peyton so bitter that they are now two different people?

What we loved: The first game of the season stirred up a lot of pent-up emotions. Lucas was feeling nostalgic about Keith, and Mouth was missing Jimmy. Luckily, all those feelings brought out the best in everyone. Lucas brought his team to victory and Mouth managed to crank out the best high school basketball story coverage any TV station has ever witnessed.

So he may be obnoxious and he may be stuck on himself... but how hot is a shirtless Q? We didn’t ever see him in that light before, but wow! And we loved watching him and little Jamie wrapping their wrists together to prepare for the big game. Nothing tugged at our hearts like that scene!

Tim may be the inbred moron who now simply delivers pizza. But his sudden presence makes us wonder -- where has that guy been? We loved seeing him again but we’re sad that he didn’t get much further than down the street, to the local pizza parlor. And why, exactly, doesn’t anyone hang out with him anymore? It took Tim to make the girls realize that no one keeps in touch anymore and friends are something to treasure.

What we didn’t love: Just as Nathan was about to spill the beans to Haley about the Carrie kiss, Carrie walked in and announced that she is giving her two-week notice. She got accepted to a graduate program, and she’ll be splitting ASAP. But that doesn’t mean that Nathan is off the hook now.

We really don’t like the fact that Nathan is hiding things from Haley. But Lucas kissed some one too! Lucas and Nathan both kissed someone behind someone’s back. Are they both equally to blame or is one guiltier than the other? Tell us what you thought of the episode in the comments!

Past Top Models Check In: Jaslene Gonzalez

How does Cycle 8 winner Jaslene stay this energetic? The woman has a packed schedule that includes Cover Girl commercials, magazine covers, and an upcoming movie, but she's as animated as ever in this interview. Jaslene spills about her new flick with John Leguizamo, being recognized on the street, and catching past cycles on TV.

One Tree Hill Recap: Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester Grace The Pages of Vogue!

The ladies of Gossip Girl are femme and fabulous in the March issue of Vogue!

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in March '08 Vogue

Of course, this being Vogue, there's more talk about fashion than GG's plotlines. But we're okay with that, because on this show, fashion is practically a plotline all by itself!

The article talks about the inspirations behind Blair and Serena's looks on the show, from NYC socialites to prep school girls who reinvent their school uniforms. Blair's polished Upper East Side style means lots of Valentino, Alberta Feretti, and Diane von Furstenberg, while Serena's hipper, more casual look includes Stella McCartney, Vena Cava, and Alexander Wang. We liked hearing about how in real life, neither girl dresses quite like her character -- Blake is more classic than cutting-edge Serena, but Leighton is edgier than buttoned-up Blair.

Check out the magazine to take a mini shopping trip with the girls on the Upper East Side -- they hit the Dolce & Gabbana boutique and Chanel before stopping for lunch. We're happy to see Blake and Leighton getting some very major press, and we hope to see more of them as we count down to new episodes of Gossip Girl in April!

Girlicious: Natalie Makes Enemies; Megan Goes Home

The theme of last night's Girlicious was confidence -- but not everyone had it (ahem, Natalie)...

Girlicious hopefuls

Robin divided the girls into groups to practice the national anthem, and almost immediately Natalie had problems with her group -- she was convinced she'd been placed in one of the not-so-great groups. The girls in her group noticed that her attitude stank, but she tried to deny it.

Before the drama got too intense, the girls were distracted by a visit from none other than JC Chasez of N*Sync! We would've liked to see more JC; he was only around for a few minutes, it seemed! But he did give some good advice -- he encouraged the girls to take risks in their performances.

When it came time to perform for Robin and Mikey, Carrie's group rocked the anthem and won the challenge, earning the chance to perform before a baseball game. Plus, Carrie's stellar voice earned her immunity for this week's elimination, so we'll see her around next week.

After the challenge, Tiffany and Nichole called Natalie out on her negative attitude, and Natalie promptly crumpled into a sobbing, weepy ball and left the room to call her mom. "Everyone's ganging up on me!" she whined. Well, yeah... but she kind of brought it on herself. A sunnier attitude would really help. Now it's too late, though -- she has Tiffany and Nichole on her bad side, and they don't seem like the forgiving types.

For the final performances, the three groups performed "Hit Me Baby One More Time," "Holiday," and "Tearin' Up My Heart." The first group's Britney rendition didn't impress anyone, and Megan was called to task for her dance moves. The "Holiday" group did a decent job, flashing umbrellas and strutting their stuff, but it was Tiffany who really stole the spotlight. And the "Tearin' Up My Heart" group? Well, they were the best by FAR -- they would've been ready to do a real show right then and there. Their moves and voices were all, well, in sync (pardon the pun).

It came down to Megan and Cassandra in the bottom two, but Megan ended up going home. Guess her pageant background wasn't enough preparation for the sexy moves of a Girlicious dancer. So Megan went home.

Next week: the girls perform for some potential fans (apparently, seven-year-olds that don't hold back!).

What'd you think of the episode? Were you surprised to see Megan go? Do you blame Natalie for stirring things up, or do you think Tiffany and Nichole were too hard on her? Tell us in the comments!

Girlicious Recap: The Premiere

Robin wasted no time with eliminations: in last week's Girlicious premiere, she gave not one, not two, but three girls the axe! Jason C. has the scoop on Jenna's trip to the hospital, Keisha's weak singing, and Charlotte's ill-advised dance moves.

Girlicious Preview Clips: House Drama

Take a group of talented, competitive women vying for the same three spots in Girlicious, make them live in close quarters in a group house, and you've got a prime recipe for gossip, backstabbing, and tears (hey, we've learned something from all those cycles of Top Model we've watched). This preview clip from tonight's Girlicious episode proves the point: when Natalie and Christine start bonding and whispering away from the others, everyone suspects the worst. Let the drama begin!

Natalie doesn't stay happy for long, though. When she screws up in a challenge, the other girls turn on her, and she finally breaks down in tears -- not that it earns her any sympathy!

Hottie Bracket: The Women Hit the Final Four!

We're down to the penultimate rounds of the CW Source Hottie Bracket. Today, it's the women's turn -- who will advance to the finals and fight for the crown?

The last round was brutal for our fresh-faced ingénues -- both Claire Tolchuck and Jenny Humphrey were completely obliterated by their competition. Come back when you've had a bit more experience in the big bad world, ok? Both Serena and Chloe managed to go down fighting, and we salute their moxie.

Now we're left with the One Tree Hill Trifecta taking on the unsinkable lass from Smallville, Miss Lana Lang. How will OTH fans react to the battle between Peyton and Haley? And what will happen with Lana's legion of fans meet Brooke's equally rabid following? Your votes will decide! You have until 11:59 PM on Monday to vote -- so get started!

Peyton Sawyer (One Tree Hill) vs. Haley James Scott (One Tree Hill)
Peyton vs. Haley

Peyton Sawyer: Peyton's artsy, musical allure makes her one of Tree Hill's hottest dates. Her blond curls, soulful eyes, and tragic past are a killer combination. And she's managed to snag both Scott brothers AND Jake, which means she has to share her secrets with us.
Haley James Scott: This season, Haley's looking better than ever with a new short 'do and bangs. But it's not just about her looks. She's beautiful inside and out. She's a loving mother, a talented musician, a new teacher... and a gorgeous woman, to boot. What a catch!
Lana Lang (Smallville) vs. Brooke Davis (One Tree Hill)
Lana vs. Brooke

Lana Lang: Lana Lang is the platonic ideal of the Girl Next Door – sweet, pretty, and someone all the boys pine for. Her winsome charms have entranced the world’s greatest superhero and the world’s most nefarious supervillain. Not bad for a small-town Kansas girl!
Brooke Davis: She's saucy, spontaneous, and has impeccable fashion sense. Plus, she's always up for anything... and we do mean anything, from surprising guys nude in the backseat to opening a couture boutique in Tree Hill. What else would anyone want in a hot date?
